Our history: ---1980--- Established as the state-owned Shanghai Metal Materials Company, with the business purpose of manufacturing hot rolled steel and cold rolled steel, hardware, and agricultural accessories. ---1999--- Investment through UK Anglo Investment Co., Ltd, began the production of steel pipes. ---2000--- Investment through Taiwan Minchali Co., Ltd and Taiwan Gongcheng Metal Co., Ltd, began the production of copper strips, copper foil. ---2001--- Began production in the areas of copper tubing, brass tubing, and stainless steel products. ---2003--- Renamed the state-owned Shanghai Metal Materials Company to Shanghai Metal Corporation, and started new production lines of galvanized steel coil, PPGI, PPGL. ---2004--- Established SMC (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd, and began the sale of aluminum products. ---2006--- Initiated a series of construction projects, including steel structure, steel bridge, etc. ---2007--- Explored the new project fields of standard and special shipping containers, and container houses.
